NOW that is a new tank i have never seen before! i had no idea the Fins did that :D it looks great too ;) also i figured out what map that is :o i played it last night and i couldn't beat it :? lol
Hi, Dunkelrot_erhob_sich this is not a tank,it is a SPG assault gun, during the war between Finland and Soviet, Finish army captured many Russian BT series fast tanks, and the Finish mounted the British 77mm howitzer on it, to use it a as a SPG. myabe it can be called a original Finish AFV.
ahhh, in fact, there was another original finish AFV, the BT43 APC, it is a APC based on the BT fast tank, just like the cannadian APC based on the the Ram and Sherman tank. but, i have not any pictures of it.if i can find some, i would make one too. i am now specially interested in the armoured force of the little countries in the WWII. but such informations are not easy to get due to they were not famous enough,LOL
ah, i've looked everywhere for a BT-43 this was all i could find "In May 1943 a request was issued for armored personnel carriers capable of carrying 20 men. It was decided to convert some available BT series tanks to BT43-carriers. The prototype was not a great success and no further development took place. Appearing clumsy and with a high profile, it didn't look a bit like a standard armored personnel carrier. The turret was removed, and a wooden platform was located on the modified hull. The result was more suited for the role of an armored supply carrier. It was not considered a front line type vehicle."
so it was either just a BT-7 with no turret, or some sort of box in replace of it :o if you'd like i could make you one without the turret :D
and i know the problem of finding information on the smaller countried all to well :( it took me weeks to find a good one for italy, there should be more around to look at.
ah, alright :P but what exactly was it for? an ammo carrier? or a personal carrier, as i dont think it would have been big enough for personnel, but it would be great to have to resupply the BT-42 spg ;)
